Health and Safety Protocols

How does OREA plan to protect me with regards to COVID-19?

Our top priority is the health and safety of everyone working and attending REALiTY+ Conference. OREA commits to meet or exceed all government-mandated protocols to protect attendees against COVID-19.

Safety guidelines are constantly changing, and may include measures such as masks, social distancing, sanitizing stations, and visual safety reminders.

OREA may change, update, or add to these requirements at any time as it deems prudent to best protect the health and safety of attendees and others.

Must I be vaccinated to attend the Conference?
No, OREA’s Event Policy does not require you to be vaccinated against COVID-19 to attend the event.
However, it is recommended that we still do our part to protect ourselves and others, especially during respiratory illness season. This includes practising good hand hygiene, wearing a mask if required or if you feel it is right for you including if you are at higher risk of severe illness or health outcomes from COVID-19, staying home when you are sick, have symptoms of COVID-19 or have tested positive, and staying up to date on your vaccinations. In line with current public health guidelines, including guidance issued by the province of Ontario and the local public health unit, attendees are directed not to attend the Event if they:
  • Are asymptomatic but tested positive for COVID-19 within the ten (10) day period leading up to the event; or,
  • Are currently experiencing symptoms associated with COVID-19, as outlined in the province of Ontario’s Self-Assessment Tool: https://www.ontario.ca/self-assessment/.
If an attendee is no longer testing positive for COVID-19 but is still recovering or is a close contact of someone with COVID-19 or symptoms, they should wear a mask. All attendees will be required to review and sign a COVID-19 Health Declaration Form for Attendees prior to being admitted access to the Event. Copies of the form will be available onsite at registration.
